The DDoS is still going, and no, MW3 is not up.
When the server itself is powered on but not running the MW2 servers (Highrise, etc.) it sucks up about 150kB/s upload, which isn't bad. However once the service is started it responds to the (fake) packets using up about 2.6MB/s, multiply that by 1024 and you get 2662kB/s upload, which is being wasted by the attack. Since this is the 5th day that the attack has gone on I have concluded the best measure would be to turn them off and let the attack get itself dropped by my switch instead. This doesn't kill its internet entirely, meaning I can still use my connection instead of only being able to use 10% of it while the attack is going on.
