LGA 2011 *NEW SOCKET TYPE*
« on: November 15, 2011, 06:00:23 pm »
it looks like a new socket will be released now. The new i7s look insane. They now can have 6 cores so that's 6 logical and 6 theoretical cores. The new ram channel thing also looks cool but I have not had the time to read very much, but the new mobos are sweet.  Post thoughts and stuff. I have a computer that I am theoretically building (wish list) on new egg. I will make the list public as soon as I have all the parts together.

I have a lot of Macs probably 10 <> I do not use them to Game
I use a PC which I have Built myself (check the PC specs topic)

As in both what do you mean. There are more than 2 i7s there are many different i7 socket types for each i7. The new i7 is for the new 2011 LGA SOCKET
