Which card should i choose?
« on: December 04, 2011, 02:04:50 am »
Hei guys i am a lot confused right now. I want to upgrade my graphics card to either gtx56 Ti SO 1gb or to ati 6950 2gb in order to play bf3. But i cant choose one. I dont know if i would be able to play bf3 on ultra on both of these cards or not. The other thing that confuses me to select one of these cards is that nvidia supports physx but ati dont.On the other hand ati 6950 could be unlocked to 6970 so this is what confuses me more. Logically ati become more powerful but does physx has any significance or not...

Waiting for your guys comments.....

My PC Specs
Intel core i5 2nd gen 3.3ghz
8gb DDR3 1333Mhz
Asus p8z68 mpro mobo
1Tb hdd 5400 rpm
Nothing is true.

Always nvidia. ATI, while still having great video cards, is always slow to update their drivers/have ones that work at all.  they are both good companies but it seems like nvidia has the leg up for right now. Go with the gtx

I'll say nVidia. I've had an overall greater experience with nVidia cards, than with ATI cards.

Omg I love  <3 nVidia. Not that you can tell or anything. (sig) I have 2 gtx550tis in sli. I have had no problems but I wouldn't buy 550s if I was you. I did no research lol. If I were you check the number of cores your 560 will have and compare that to the number of cores of the other GTX series cards. I know that a 460 has almost double the cores of the 550 lol. Ask anymore questions that you have

I have a lot of Macs probably 10 <> I do not use them to Game
I use a PC which I have Built myself (check the PC specs topic)

448core edition is just a down binned 570. If your on a budget get a 560 Ti. If you have more money and are thinking to waste $300 on a 448core560ti just get an extra $50 for a 570.

Look for deals over the holiday. You might be able to get a 570 at a discount. Or even a 560ti at a discount. Also look for bundles with free games.
