YAY you're gonna get the 7850 now :D? The only thing I'm changing since I helped you before is I'm going to say get this Wireless Card:

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-wireless-network-card-pcen15

It's the one I have and it did my old PC (R.I.P) well.

Do you live near a microcenter? Your i3 is pretty wimpy, you could pick up an i5-3570k for a little over what you're paying for the i3 (assuming microcenter).

I would have said the same thing (I think Bran lives in Delaware.....? There are 2 Microcenters in Maryland...) but he's on a SUPER strict $500 budget.

Don't get an i3 at all get the i5 3350 to stay within budget and get a weaker gpu. Games will be optimized for more cores come this fall.

Games will be optimized for *four cores come this fall. The 3220 has hyperthreading, it will do fine and that way he can keep the 7850 and not have to use some shitty card like a 7750.

OH. MY. GOD. GUYS. $500 BUDGET. K SERIES CHIPS ARE $200. 40% OF THE BUDGET. 1/3 OF THE BUDGET NEEDS TO GO TO THE GRAPHICS CARD. $160 IS RIGHT AROUND 1/3.

Then it's time to increase the budget. A dual-core can't handle the newer games. Look at ARMA II and DayZ..

If he seriously, seriously can't go over $500 and can't spend any extra then unfortunately he may need to go with a low-end AMD chip.

Unless you don't see yourself being able to increase the budget ANYTIME soon, hold off and build something you will enjoy.  Sometimes it's hard to have patience but it's worth it in the end.

The 3220 is technically quad core. The AMD CPUs around $120 run so hot though...

What do you mean by "hold off and build something you will enjoy"? Because I think it means "save more money over the next 6 months or so and then build something better." From what I gained over talking to Brandon about this (and since he doesn't seem to be replying to this by himself):

1) His mother is buying this for him

2) She isn't going to spend almost anything over $500 (thus the super strict quality of the budget)

3) Brandon can't save any money himself to increase his budget

It's not a quad-core - just a dual-core with hyperthreading.
